Folkuniversitetet offers daytime and evening courses as well as lectures in areas such as languages, economics, communication, writing, and aesthetic subjects. Our courses are primarily aimed at individuals but also associations and companies.

About the assignment

We are looking for course leaders in crafts and creative creation. Subjects may include woodworking, jewelry making, ceramics, upcycling, paper crafts, painting on objects, or other forms of handmade creation – preferably with a unique or innovative expression. We are open to both traditional techniques and modern interpretations, and we hope you want to inspire participants in a creative and permissive environment.

Our courses are mainly conducted in the evenings, but daytime and weekend courses may also be relevant in our premises located in central Kungsbacka.
You will plan and conduct your courses independently and follow up and register attendance.

Your skills and background
You have a great interest and expertise in the subject area and find joy in teaching others. Previous experience in teaching adults is meritorious. Since the instruction is conducted in Swedish, you should be able to express yourself well in Swedish.

As a course leader at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor the instruction to individuals and draw out each individual's potential. It is important that you enjoy conveying knowledge and see the positive in participants' development. You are flexible, attentive, and structured, and have experience working independently. We also expect that you share our view on the equal value of all people and the right to knowledge.

Employment form
The employment is a project-based position (employment per course) with compensation per study hour. Planning is done in close collaboration with responsible staff at Folkuniversitetet.
